About the Role
As the Adult Day Center Director, you will serve as a high-impact leader overseeing daily center operations, guiding participant care, and inspiring a dedicated team.
This role balances hands-on connection with clinical direction:
70% Interactive Leadership: Directing daily activities, connecting with participants, and leading team initiatives.
30% Clinical & Operations: Conducting assessments, developing Plans of Care (POCs), managing medication protocols, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities
Operational & Clinical Leadership: Manage daily center operations, food service standards, safety documentation, and medication protocols in full compliance with state regulations.
Team Mentorship: Oversee, train, and support ADC staff to ensure top-quality care and health monitoring.
Care Planning: Create and update personalized bi-annual Plans of Care (POCs) for each participant.
Community & Family Connection: Serve as the primary liaison to families, case managers, and state agencies (AAA, DSS, CCC). Lead recreational activities and assist with local marketing and community outreach.
Qualifications & Requirements
License: Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
Language Skills: Professional fluency in both Spanish and English (Required).
Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing management experience, ideally working with elderly populations in adult day care, long-term care, or community health settings (Required).
Schedule & Mobility: Day shift availability (including rotating weekend coverage) and willingness to travel between our New Britain and Hartford locations.
Skills: Strong staff leadership, multitasking ability, and proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
