Job Summary
We are urgently hiring compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) to join our Connecticut home care team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver one-to-one personal care in patients’ homes, support independence, and build meaningful relationships. Both Full-Time and Per Diem schedules are available.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
Support medication reminders as directed by licensed nursing staff (not administering medications unless certified and permitted)
Monitor and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or environment to supervisory clinical staff
Follow individualized care plans and participate in patient/caregiver teaching when requested
Document care, observations, and any incidents accurately and on time in the electronic record
Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and safety at all times and uphold professional boundaries
Travel to clients’ homes throughout the assigned service area; punctuality and reliable attendance required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current Home Health Aide certification or state equivalent required
Preferred: 1+ year of experience in home care, long-term care, or related direct care setting
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills
Basic clinical and safety knowledge, including infection control and safe transfer techniques
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance as required for travel to patient homes
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Schedule & Compensation
Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities available
